Research Interests: James’ research interests include biomaterials for drug delivery, particularly for bleeding and wound care, and clinical collaborations to develop new animal models for testing interventions. He has founded a start-up company to commercialize new hemostatic agents for the battlefield, which is supported by partnerships with the US and Canadian militaries.

Hobbies: Piano and baking.
